Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 requires the usage of a Peppol ID as electronic address. The Peppol ID identifies the buyer's electronic address to which the invoice is delivered. It is a combination of a unique ID, for example the VAT registration number and a scheme identifer. The Scheme Identifier attribute must contain a code from the CEF Electronic Address Scheme code list
