Usage Description

Where an electronic invoice is to be sent and requires life cycle statuses to be returned, the Seller’s electronic address (BT-34) is MANDATORY. This is the address to which the self-billing invoice is sent, along with the life cycle statuses intended for the Seller.

For information (governed by other rules): For self-billing invoices falling within the "e-invoicing" scope, the electronic address must be in the format "SIREN" or "SIREN_XXX", where SIREN is the Seller’s SIREN number entered in BT-30, with a schemeId (BT-34-1) = 0225.

For invoices outside the "e-invoicing" scope or within the "e-invoicing" scope but not self-billed, the Seller’s electronic address must be in one of the schemeIDs from the EAS code list (including an email address with schemeID (BT-34-1) = EM).

For invoices made available on a portal, an email address of the form "noreply@sellersdomain" may be used to indicate that the Seller has no email address.
